These Terms of Service cover moving work performed by Faster Moving Services for customers in and around Athens, Georgia. Booking a move with us means you’ve read and agreed to what follows. If anything here is unclear, call (888) 711-4778 before your move and we’ll walk you through it.
Estimates and Binding Quotes
Local moves are usually billed by the hour, and the written estimate we provide is our good-faith projection based on the details you share — the final charge can shift if the actual job differs (more items, longer carry, added stops). Long-distance moves are quoted on a binding written price: the number you approve is the number you pay, as long as the inventory and access match what you described. Always tell us about stairs, elevators, long carries, or extra pickups up front so the quote stays accurate.
Deposits and Cancellation
An $89 deposit reserves your date and is applied to your final bill. If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can; deposits for moves canceled with reasonable notice are credited toward a future date, while last-minute cancellations may forfeit the deposit since the slot was held for you.
Valuation and Liability
Our base liability is released value at $0.60 per pound per article, which is included at no extra cost as required for motor carriers. Full-value protection, which covers the repair or replacement value of damaged items, is available for an added charge — ask us before move day if you want it. Claims should be submitted in writing within a reasonable time after delivery.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. We maintain US DOT and MC authority for interstate moves and Georgia household-goods motor-carrier registration for moves within the state, and we are bonded and insured.
